Wenatchee Heights and Wheeler Hill overlook a complex network of orchards and water management systems in this high-altitude agricultural landscape. The region's reliance on irrigation is evidenced by numerous catchments, including the Greenwood Reservoir Number Two and Mathison Reservoir, which feed the drainages of Stemilt Creek and Middle Creek. The topography rises steeply from the northern canyon floors toward Jumpoff Ridge in the south, crossing into the Wenatchee National Forest.
