West Mountain dominates the central landscape of this 1950 survey, rising between the southern shores of Utah Lake and the agriculture-rich Goshen Valley. Industrial activity is concentrated at the southern tip of the mountain at the Keigley Quarry and near Goshen Gap, where a network of gravel pits and wells supported local mining operations. The mapping of the Genola Town Boundary reveals a community defined by its proximity to the rugged terrain of Long Ridge and the rail corridors to the east.
