The Trinity Mountains define this high-elevation landscape within the Shasta National Forest, straddling the border of Trinity and Shasta counties. Dominating the topography are prominent summits such as Whisky Bill Peak, Bonanza King, and Wildcat Peak, which rise above a network of gulches and steep drainages. The E Fork Trinity River serves as the primary hydrological artery, winding through the western portion of the quadrangle before eventually feeding into Trinity Lake.
