Whisky Bill Peak and Bonanza King dominate this high-elevation terrain within the Shasta National Forest, where the boundary between Trinity and Shasta Counties cuts through the steep ridges. The drainage of the E Fork Trinity River is fed by numerous alpine sources, including Pond Lily Lake and the high Highland Lakes near the northern map edge.
