Book Cliffs dominate the northern landscape of this Grand County quadrangle, where the steep escarpments overlook the wide expanse of Grand Valley. The drainage systems here are complex, with Sulphur Cr and its associated Sulphur Canyon carving deep paths through the high terrain. Further south, Antone Canyon and Buck Canyon create a rugged network of washes, including Antone Wash and Buck Canyon Wash, which channel seasonal water toward the valley floor.
