This 1:250,000 scale map serves primarily to delineate the international boundary between Canada and the United States, as well as the provincial line separating Alaska and British Columbia. The landscape is defined by high peaks like Mt Poletica, Mt Canning, and Snow Top, which anchor the surveyors' triangulation points along the border. Compiled from trimetrogon photography and original surveys dating back to 1906, this sheet captures the immense scale of the glacial system before late-century recession. The lack of settlements or roads underscores the isolation of this sector of the First Judicial Division, where topography and ice determined the limits of human activity and national sovereignty.
