Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park encompasses this high-altitude landscape in eastern Alaska, where the terrain is dominated by steep slopes and significant elevation changes. The waterway network is defined by the Kiagna River and the E Fork Kiagna River, which cut through the southern and northern reaches of the quadrangle respectively. A prominent topographical landmark, Bald Mtn, rises in the northern portion of the sheet, surrounded by a complex system of ridges and valleys. This 2016 survey provides a precise look at the glacial and riverine geography of the Unorganized Borough during the early 21st century, illustrating a roadless wilderness area where contour lines reveal the dramatic verticality of the Chugach or Saint Elias foothills.
