Maypearl and the smaller settlement of Boz anchor this Ellis County landscape, where the prairie begins to break into the drainage basins of the Chambers Creek system. The area is defined by its dendritic water network, featuring the N Fork Chambers Cr and S Fork Chambers Cr which converge into the main Chambers Creek in the southern portion of the quadrangle. This hydrography historically dictated the placement of early homesteads and roads in this agricultural region.
