Brewer Butte stands as a prominent landmark in this prairie landscape along the border of Corson and Dewey counties. The terrain is defined by the winding course of the Little Moreau River, which meanders through the southern half of the quadrangle, while High Bank Cr flows through the northern reaches. This 2017 survey reflects the sparse, open character of the Rock Creek District, where land is primarily organized by the Public Land Survey System into townships and ranges. A network of local corridors, including Co Rd 3h and Co Rd 5, provides the only infrastructure across this expansive grazing and agricultural region. The map highlights the numerous small wetlands and ephemeral water bodies that dot the northern sections, illustrating the complex drainage patterns of the high plains before they reach the larger river systems.
