Fall Creek Falls State Park dominates the northern uplands of this survey, where the drainages of Cane Creek and Stephens Creek carve deep into the plateau. The landscape is defined by the sharp transition at the Cumberland Escarpment, which separates the high ridges of the Cumberland Plateau from the fertile floor of the Sequatchie Valley. Along this lower corridor, the Sequatchie River winds past agricultural settlements and transportation hubs like Lees Station and College Station.
