Cunningham Ranch represents the primary human footprint in this high-elevation corner of Grand County, situated at the base of the dramatic Book Cliffs. The landscape is dominated by a complex network of drainage systems, including Calf Canyon, Strychnine Wash, and Nash Wash, which carve through the high plateaus and canyons typical of the eastern Utah desert. The topography shifts from the elevated flats of Turper Park down into the split depths of Left Hand and Right Hand Bull Canyon.
