Straight Cliffs dominate the eastern edge of this high-desert landscape on the border of Garfield and Kane Counties. The area is defined by a complex network of drainage systems, most notably Alvey Wash and the deeply etched Carcass Canyon. At the northern end of the map, Camp Flat represents one of the few named level areas amidst a series of winding ravines such as Sarah Ann Canyon and Bull Run Canyon.
