Gates Of The Arctic National Park encompasses the vast majority of this 2016 topographic study, documenting the high-altitude terrain of the North Slope. The landscape is defined by the continental divide's northern reaches, where Inupiat Mtn and Mt MacVicar stand as prominent landmarks amidst a complex network of glacial valleys and headwaters. The drainage patterns are clearly delineated, showing the origins of the Chandler River and its tributaries, including Ikagiak Cr and Kollutarak Cr. In the far northwest corner, a portion of Chandler Lake is visible, serving as a primary hydrological feature for the region. This survey captures the wilderness character of the Brooks Range before recent climatic shifts further altered the permafrost and drainage systems of these Arctic highlands.
