The boundary between Tom Green Co and Schleicher Co bisects this West Texas landscape, where the Edwards Plateau begins its descent into the Concho Valley. The terrain is defined by a network of seasonal drainages, most notably East Poor Hollow and the meandering paths of Pecan Cr and Kickapoo Cr. These intermittent watercourses have carved the ranching country, creating the topographic relief that characterizes the region south of Christoval.
