1964 Map of Colusa

USGS Topo · Published 1965

About this map

Colusa and Adrian anchor this mid-1960s survey of the Illinois prairie, where the landscape transitions from the flat agricultural fields of Rock Creek and Pilot Grove to the dissected stream valleys in the north. The Chicago Burlington and Quincy railroad cuts a straight north-south line through the center of the map, serving as a primary corridor between these rural communities. Near the center of the sheet, the Nauvoo-Colusa Sch marks a point of regional education for the surrounding farmsteads.
