Cornucopia sits at the northern edge of the Bayfield Peninsula, where the Siskiwit River meets the waters of Lake Superior at Siskiwit Bay. This 2023 survey illustrates a landscape of dense forest and glacial hydrology, with Siskiwit Lake and Little Siskiwit Lake forming a central cluster of water bodies. The settlement is connected to the interior via a network of forest roads and historic routes like Old Hwy 13 and Star Route Rd.

Genealogical interest is found in the three distinct burial grounds: the Town of Bell Cem near the town center, the George D Jones Junior Memorial Cem to the south, and the Belanger Settlement Cem located further east near the Sand River. Much of the southern terrain is protected within the Chequamegon National Forest, where numerous Forest Service roads like FR 439 and FR 104 provide access to the timbered backcountry and the headwaters of Mawikwe Creek.
