Colville National Forest dominates this Northeast Washington landscape, where high mountain peaks like Sherlock Peak and Baldy Mtn define a network of drainage basins. The area is characterized by distinct highland valleys, notably Smackout Valley and Paradise Valley, which provide relatively level ground amidst the steep terrain. Water flows from numerous headwaters including N Fork Deep Cr and several branches of Currant Cr toward Deep Lake, which sits at the northwestern edge of the map.
