Egaksrak River and its shifting braided channels dominate this corner of the North Slope, flowing north toward the Beaufort Sea. The landscape is defined by its Arctic hydrography, where the Aichilik River clips the northwest corner and the smaller Redwacke Creek feeds into the primary drainage system from the west. This 2018 survey illustrates the complex, seasonal nature of the region's water movement across the coastal plain.
