Swift Reservoir and its associated Swift Dam anchor the southwestern portion of this high-altitude landscape in the Teton County backcountry. The terrain is defined by a dense network of alpine lakes and cold-water drainages, including the clustered Waddel Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the central Fish Lake. This 2011 survey documents a highly managed watershed where numerous small-scale dams regulate the flow of creeks, such as the Fish Lake Dam and the Floating Rib Dam on the North Fork Sheep Creek.
