Edwards Crossing sits at the center of this high plains landscape, where the Two Medicine River meanders across the border of Glacier and Pondera counties. The terrain is defined by a sophisticated network of irrigation infrastructure, including the N Canal, M Canal, and Two M Canal, which support agriculture in an otherwise arid environment. To the southwest, the prominent elevation of Flag Butte overlooks the basin, while Alkali Lake provides a significant hydrological marker in the southern reaches of the survey area. The presence of the Old Valley Hwy in the north indicates long-established transit corridors through this part of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and its surrounding ranchlands.
