The intermittent waters of Rio Felix and its network of dry washes define this section of the New Mexico landscape. The terrain is deeply incised by a system of drainages including Crooked Canyon to the north and Scotty Canyon to the south. Transport through this arid region is primarily served by Felix Canyon Rd, which skirts the southern reaches of the quadrangle near the creek's edge.
