The northern reaches of the Osage Hills along the Oklahoma-Kansas state line define this landscape, characterized by a complex drainage network that feeds into the Arkansas River basin. At the southern edge of the sheet, the small community of Foraker serves as a local anchor for the surrounding ranchlands. The terrain is marked by intermittent streams and numerous cattle ponds and reservoirs, including the 113127 Reservoir and 113137 Reservoir, which are vital for the livestock operations that dominate this prairie region.
