Kaniksu National Forest defines this high-elevation landscape along the border of Washington and Idaho, where the Pend Oreille and Bonner county lines intersect. The terrain is characterized by a series of prominent peaks and ridgelines, including Galena Point, Goose Creek Point, and the high spine of the Pelke Divide. These summits overlook a complex drainage network that feeds into the West Branch Priest River, which meanders through the eastern portion of the map near Big Meadows.

Water features dominate the local geography, with numerous named streams such as Blickensderfer Creek, Moores Creek, and Squaw Valley Creek carving through the slopes. Evidence of light human infrastructure appears in the form of a Jeep Trail winding through the forest and several survey markers, including BM 4661 and BM 2509, which established the elevation for this remote wilderness area during the mid-20th-century mapping project.
