The terrain transitions from the broad Lida Valley in the north to the elevations of Black Mountain, intersected by a network of unimproved roads and a Jeep Trail. Evidence of the region's mining heritage is scattered across the slopes, most notably at the Enterprise Mine and several other unnamed Mines.

Remote outposts such as Greens Camp and Tule Corral suggest a history of seasonal ranching or prospecting far from established towns. Near the southern edge of the ridge, the Stateline (Site) marks a former point of habitation or activity along the drainage of Oriental Wash. This survey provides a record of the area's infrastructure before many of these smaller sites faded from prominence, preserving the location of corrals and ephemeral camp sites used by those working the arid Nevada interior.
