Gould serves as the primary municipal center in this section of Southwest Oklahoma, situated near the intersection of several section-line roads and State Route 62. The landscape is defined by the drainage network of the Sandy Creek system, including the E Fork Sandy Cr and W Fork Sandy Cr, which converge as they flow south. To the north of the main settlement, Club Lake and the Tri-County Turkey Cr Site 3 Reservoir indicate the local reliance on man-made water management in this agricultural region. Evidence of the area's rural history is found at the Star Valley settlement to the south and the Gould Cem located just west of the town center. The rigid grid of roads, including N 1770 RD and e1580 RD, underscores the organized land division typical of the Great Plains, providing a clear view of the territorial footprint in Harmon County.
