1958 Map of Happy Valley

USGS Topo · Published 1963

About this map

The San Pedro River flows through the eastern portion of this quadrangle, defining a fertile valley between the Rincon Mountains and the arid eastern range. At the time of this 1958 field revision, the area was dominated by established cattle operations, including the Singing Wind Ranch, Tres Alamos Ranch, and Pacheco Ranch. The small settlement of Pomerene is visible in the southeast, while the ranching community of Cascabel anchors the northern river corridor.
