The high alpine terrain of the Okanogan National Forest along the international boundary is defined by steep ridges and a complex network of named drainages. Snowshoe Mtn and Chopaka Mtn anchor the high ground, while the Pacific NW National Scenic Trail traverses the landscape from north to south, passing through the remote Hells Hole and near the Cold Creek Camp.
