Pasayten Wilderness and the Okanogan National Forest dominate this high-elevation landscape in northern Washington. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent summits, including Snowshoe Mtn, Hurley Peak, and Chopaka Mtn, which serve as the headwaters for a complex network of drainages. Numerous creeks, such as Ninemile Creek, Tenmile Creek, and Elevenmile Creek, flow through deep valleys, tracing the descent from the peaks toward the North Fork Toats Coulee Creek valley.
