Lake Superior dominates the northern half of this coastal survey, where the waters meet a shoreline defined by rocky points and sheltered inlets. The private enclave of Huron Mountain is situated at the edge of this vast aquatic expanse, positioned near the mouth of the Pine River. This area is characterized by a network of inland water bodies, including Pine Lake and the substantial Conway Lake, which are separated from the lakefront by the narrow protrusion of Pine River Point.
