Harry S Truman Reservoir dominates the western reaches of this landscape, its fingers reaching into complex terrain defined by Horseshoe Bend and numerous local hollows. The settlement of Iconium serves as a central hub, flanked by the Iconium Cemetery and the expansive H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, which occupies much of the northern lakefront. This area reveals a transition from the water-sculpted geography of Moore Hollow and Suitor Hollow to the more open stretches of Square Prairie further south.
