The Aleutian Range dominates the western portion of this 2019 survey, where steep elevations give way to the complex drainage systems of the Kodiak Island and Lake and Peninsula boroughs. The landscape is defined by its dramatic hydrology, notably where Big Alinchak Cr and Little Alinchak Cr descend toward the coast. The transition from high peaks to the sea is captured at Alinchak Bay, a significant marine feature on the eastern edge of the quadrangle.
