Dagitli River meanders across this landscape in the western reaches of interior Alaska, defining the hydrological character of the southern half of the sheet. The terrain here is dominated by complex wetland systems and numerous unnamed lakes that characterize the t3n r8e and t4n r8e survey townships. In the northwest corner, the Nulitna River cuts through the low-lying flats, illustrating the intricate drainage patterns of the Koyukuk watershed. This 2016 data reflects a wilderness landscape largely devoid of human infrastructure or permanent settlements, preserving the natural state of the river corridors as they appeared in the early 21st century. The density of contours in certain sections reveals the subtle rise of upland areas between the vast lacustrine basins and river valleys.
