To the east, postwar suburban expansion is evident in Valley Station and Meadow Lawn, where new residential streets like Ethan Allen Way and Betsy Ross Lane contrast with the older rural fabric of Johnsontown and Orell. Heavy industry and infrastructure serve the growing population, including a Filtration Plant, Sewage Disposal, and the Drive-in Theater along the Dixie Highway.
