The Mississippi River meanders through the headwaters region of northern Minnesota, defining the boundary-rich landscape of the Clearwater and Hubbard County line. This 2013 survey shows the rural character of the area around Vern, where the local terrain is defined by a dense network of glacial lakes and small tributaries.
