Leslie and North Leslie anchor this central Michigan landscape where the headwaters of several drainages diverge. The town of Leslie is centered along Hunton Creek, with the prominent Teaspoon Hill rising to the north. Further south, the meandering Grand River carves through the terrain near the small settlement of Berryville and the crossing at Berry Bridge. This 2011 survey reveals a transition from the structured street grid of the towns to a rural network defined by longstanding agricultural boundaries and family plots.
