Little Valley defines the arid agricultural landscape of Owyhee County, where irrigation and water management are central to the terrain. The 1940s topography shows a complex network of man-made waterways including the Benham Canal and various Ditch segments, alongside several Artesian Wells which were critical for local ranching and farming operations. The area is intersected by the rugged drainages of Jacks Creek, Little Jacks Creek, and Big Jacks Creek, which carve through the land before merging towards the northeast. Remote industry and early land use are evidenced by an Abandoned mine and a Prospect located near the eastern creek beds. The primary overland route through this desert environment is provided by the Shoofley Road, which cuts diagonally across the quadrangle, linking the high desert plateaus with the cultivated valley floor.
