1984 Map of Misheguk Mountain C-2

USGS Topo · Published 1984

About this map

The National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska meets the northern boundaries of the Noatak National Preserve in this remote Arctic survey. The landscape is defined by the headwaters of several significant drainage systems, where the south-flowing Nuka River and the braided Nimiuktuk River carve through the foothills of the De Long Mountains. These river systems represent an untouched wilderness landscape as it was documented following the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act of 1980.
