1956 Map of New Ringgold

USGS Topo · Published 1971

About this map

Blue Mountain and Hawk Mountain dominate the lower portion of this Pennsylvania quadrangle, creating a natural barrier traversed by the Appalachian Trail and the Blazed Trail. The landscape transitions from the protected forests of State Game Lands No 106 and the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary into the productive valleys of Lehigh Valley and Red Valley. The Little Schuylkill River carves through the western edge, where the Reading railroad once serviced the industry of New Ringgold.
