Glacial lakes and small watercourses define this rural section of the Minnesota lakeside country along the border of Becker and Otter Tail counties. The landscape is characterized by a high density of wetlands and small basins, including Collett Lake, Mud Lake, and Bear Lake. The headwaters of the Redeye River wind through the eastern townships, while the southern margin of the map touches the northern reaches of Big Pine Lake.
