Non and the surrounding borderlands of Hughes and Coal counties are defined by a complex network of creeks that feed into the larger Canadian River watershed. This modern-era survey shows the rural character of the region, where family and local history are anchored by landmarks like Non Cem and the Rock Creek Cem near the small settlement of Rock Creek. The landscape is a series of low ridges and valleys, such as King Hollow, carved by waterways including Caney Boggy Cr, Sweetwater Cr, and Sandy Creek.
