Old Baldy and Starvation Mountain dominate this high-elevation reach of Okanogan County, where the landscape is defined by complex drainage basins and forest service access. The hydrography here is remarkably dense, with waters flowing from the Blue Buck Ridge via Blue Buck Creek and Middle Fork Boulder Creek toward the west, while the eastern slopes feed the extensive Granite Creek system, including North Granite Creek and Little Granite Creek.
