The Conservation Area No 3 Water Impounded Periodically In This Area dominates the western landscape of this mid-century Florida survey, illustrating the managed hydrologic systems of the Everglades. The transition from wetlands to industrial activity is marked by the presence of a Quarry and various infrastructure along the Pennsuco Canal. Water management is central to the area's development, evidenced by the numerous Control Gates and a Gaging Sta positioned along the arterial Miami Canal.
