Lake Erie defines the northern reaches of this coastal Ohio landscape, where the shoreline is punctuated by lakeside communities and summer retreats. Painesville on-the-Lake and Shoreland occupy the western bluff, while Camp Roosevelt sits further east along the coast. The interior reveals a more established grid around Perry, where the local Perry Cem and residential streets like Main St and Center Rd form the heart of the village. The southern portion of the quadrangle follows the Grand River, showing the transition from the lakefront to the inland topography of South Ridge. This 2016 survey documents the modern layout of the Blackacre Farm Airport and a dense network of county highways that have long connected these Lake County settlements to the industrial corridors of Northeast Ohio.
