About this map

Promontory Mountains dominate the center of this terrain, where a network of drainage systems including North Canyon, South Canyon, and Brushy Canyon cut through the landscape toward the eastern and western flats. Along the eastern edge, the topography descends into the Mud Flat and the expansive Bear River Bay. Industrial and hydrological activity is concentrated along the shorelines, most notably at the Salt Evaporator in the southeast and Little Valley Harbor in the southwest.
