Green Ridge dominates the central topography of this Jefferson County landscape, serving as a significant divide within the Deschutes National Forest. To the west, the Metolius River flows along the boundary of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, its course marked by several recreational waypoints including Pioneer Ford Campground and Lower Bridge Campground. This 1980s field-checked survey captures the area's essential infrastructure for forest management and public access, notably the Prairie Farm Guard Sta. The eastern slopes are defined by a complex network of seasonal drainages, such as the various forks of Street Creek and Prairie Farm Creek. Numerous natural water sources are documented, including Prairie Farm Spring and Six Creek Spring, which have historically supported both wildlife and travelers in this high-elevation forest environment.
