The Beaver River winds through the western portion of the sheet, creating the Beaver Bottoms and passing the distinctive Yellow Banks.

Human activity is concentrated along the transportation corridors and water sources. The small settlement of Murdock sits in the northwest, while the Milford City Bdy reaches into the southwestern corner. Moving east, the terrain becomes more defined by drainage systems like Lower Ranch Canyon, Ranch Canyon, and Corral Canyon, which are navigated by primitive routes such as Lower Ranch Road and various 4wd tracks.
