Mt Fitzpatrick dominates this high-altitude section of the Bridger National Forest, where the terrain is defined by a series of steep drainages and glacial features. The map illustrates a hydrological network of alpine lakes and seasonal water sources, most notably the Periodic Spring and the high basins of Swift Creek Lake and Cottonwood Lake. A series of distinctive hollows, including Gomm Hollow and Quaking Aspen Hollow, indicate the local vegetative and topographical character of the western Wyoming wilderness.
