About this map

Robertson anchors this Uinta County landscape where the high plains meet complex irrigation systems in the 1960s. The settlement's proximity to the Historical Monument (Fort Supply) marks the site of the first Mormon outpost in what would become Wyoming. The terrain is defined by the drainages of Blacks Fork and Smiths Fork, which support a network of water management features including the Pine Grove Canal, Lambs Supply Ditch, and Davis and Company Ditch. These man-made channels diverge from natural waterways to support the cattle ranching typical of Nebraska Flat. To the south, the elevation rises toward White Cap Ridge and the distinctive peak of Dans Nipple, while genealogists can locate the Johnson Cem near the confluence of Willow Creek.
