Deep River and the Grays River converge toward the northern reaches of Grays Bay on this 2014 survey of the Lower Columbia region. The landscape is defined by its complex network of sloughs and tidal channels, including Rangila Slough and Seal Slough, which frame the low-lying terrain near Svensens Landing and Oneida. Settled points such as Rosburg and Eden occupy the higher ground between the river valleys and the rising hills of the Astoria Range.
