Inland, the Baltimore and Annapolis RR cuts a straight path through Pasadena and Earleigh Heights, following the corridor of the Baltimore and Annapolis Highway.

Significant institutional and community landmarks are scattered throughout the wooded terrain, including the sprawling grounds of the Crownsville State Hospital near Bacon Ridge.
